Some Church members are against
Social Media. Why?
Not again!
Why do some people want to
slam the door in the Church face? The Church is people! The Church is not a
building where people hide, and hide their faith, afraid to go outside and face
the real world. God has opened the door to us through social media. Only the
chosen frozen can speak in Church. Here, everybody can have their say.
I have learned a lot from
fellow Christians and believers of different faiths. We have radicals in all
faiths that don’t want the word spread. It is arrogant to think that God only
speaks to some people. We live in dangerous times. The Church is underground
and invisible. On Social Media we are taking a risk sharing our common faith.
I feel that because of Social Media Christians has the opportunity to share the gospel. Not only that we are able to improve are teaching skills, and our evangelist skills. It makes it easier to share with strangers where ever you go. We equip ourselves by being openly challenged. We learn from others from around the world. Our Churches are not equipped for teaching and equipping the saints for ministry. Do you have all 5 ministry gifts from Eph 4:11 operating in your Church? No.
You do not have to respond to our Christian posts. It is better than what many leaders in your local congregations instruct their members to do. Members are ill equipped to discuss the Bible outside of the confines of their Church. They don't know how to evangelize and they feel rejected and condemned and rightly so. So there leaders tell them to slam the door in our faces when we only want to have Bible study.
With Social Media we freely discuss
the Bible, and learn, and share with anyone. Even with people who claimed to be
not of the Christian faith. I find so many of them I really enjoy fellowship
with and them with me. It is no way else possible for we to meet.
